Dr. Saxena(F.A.C.S., F.A.C.C., D.A.B.S., D.A.B.T.S.) is a highly qualified thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon.
At present, he is the Hon. Professor and Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Bombay Hospital. He is affiliated in a consultant capacity with this hospital and the B. R. Ambedkar Hospital, Mumbai. He is also a visiting cardiac surgeon at the Royal Hospital, Muscat, Oman, the Tanzania Heart Foundation, Dar-es-Salaam, the SSR National Hospital, Mauritius, and the Defence Service Hospital, Myanmar. He passed his MBBS from Nagpur University in 1960. He has acquired vast experience as a surgeon, a good part of it in the United States of America. He holds Diplomates of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has presented innumerable papers pertaining to his area of expertise in India and other countries. He is also the Vice-President and President elect of the Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons.
