Dr. Kashyap completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College , New Delhi in 1983, and his Masters in Surgery from Delhi University in June 1988. He is a Diplomate American Board of Surgery since 1996, and a Diplomate American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1999. He completed his residency in Surgery from Robert Packer Hospital (Guthrie Clinic), Sayre, Pennsylvania, USA where he was Chief Resident from 1994-1995. Thereafter, he completed his Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Massachusetts, USA in 1997.
In 1995, he was honored as the Resident of the Year, and the Best Teaching Resident ( Robert Packer Hospital and Guthrie Clinic).
In 1994, he was the distinguished recipient of the Stanley Conklin Award for Research (First Prize - Basic Science), and (First Prize - Clinical Science).
Since completion of his fellowship, Dr. Kashyap has worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, the Medical Director of Aesthetic Center at Metrowest since 2001, an Attending Plastic Surgeon at The Wound Clinic at Framingham and operated a plastic surgery private practice, with operating privileges at Metrowest Medical Center, U-Mass-Memorial Marlborough Hospital and Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
A research enthusiast, Dr. Kashyap has published more than 35 national and international research papers and presentations, including a chapter written on wound healing, published in a leading plastic surgery academic textbook. He is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons, FACS, and an active Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
Prior to joining Fortis, Dr. Kashyap has worked as a Senior Cosmetic Consultant with Apollo Hospitals, and operated a private practice at the MedSpa in New Delhi .

Dr. Kashyap performs state-of-the-art laser procedures, power assisted liposuction, short scar anatopexices, and the latest techniques in facial cosmetic surgery, rhinoplasty and body contouring. Dr. Ajaya Kashyap, Senior Cosmetic Surgeon at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, is a double American Board certified surgeon - Diplomate American Board of Plastic Surgery and Diplomate American Board of General Surgery. He recently (May 2005) moved to New Delhi after 16 years of practicing medicine in the U.S.A., spending the last ten years in the Greater Boston area in Massachusetts. He had a very successful private Plastic Surgery practice with staff privileges at Metrowest Medical Center, U-Mass-Memorial Marlborough Hospital, Leonard-Morse Hospital in Natick and Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
